At the urging of my oldest son, I finally decided to join the 21st century and get an iphone. Like everyone else, I had heard all the hype about Steve Jobs, and the iPhone being the greatest technological advancement to come along since the personal computer.
I have a personal computer at home and have no problem navigating the Internet, checking my email, or using Microsoft Word. But after having my iPhone for over three months, I still couldn’t do much more than I could with my old Flip Phone. And, anytime I tried to go into my iPhone’s settings or visit the App Store, I got completely overwhelmed.
I went to Barnes and Noble to see if they had an instruction manual for this thing but the books were all huge and would require way more time than I was willing to invest. Next, I checked out Google but soon found myself hopping all over the place. Two hours later I still hadn’t found any useful information and wound up watching funny cat videos over at YouTube. Not a real good use of my time!
I really needed something that would hold my hand and take me step-by-step, assuming I literally knew nothing about my iPhone and completely guide me along the way.
A few weeks later I saw an ad for iPhone Video Lessons at a website called Touch Screen Genius. I watched their video and realized this was exactly what I needed. What really sold me though was the 60-day money back guarantee. I figured if I didn’t learn what I needed during that time, I was hopeless, and could just ask for my money back.
Well, I don’t think I’ll need to take advantage of the money back guarantee because I’m learning more than I ever thought was possible. These aren’t “cheesy” camera videos of someone using their phone but illustrated, step-by-step video tutorials. They really tap into my need to learn things visually and not through some book.
Overall, I’m very pleased with these videos. I even emailed the guy Andrew (who runs the website) with a question I had and he got back to me in just a couple hours. Talk about service.
My wife has been watching the videos too, and she is learning even more than me. We get excited when we learn something new and can show each other. It seems like all the frustration we had with our iPhone is gone.
I would definitely recommend these to other and have even told a couple of guys at work about them. Here’s a link to the website if you want to check it out.
